Open Pit Mining
Open Pit Mining is a surface mining technique used to extract minerals such as copper, gold, silver, and iron from the earth. This mining method involves the removal of overburden (rock or soil that covers the minerals) to expose the mineral deposit. Large machines such as excavators, haul trucks, and bulldozers are used to extract the minerals from the open pit.
Underground Mining
Underground Mining is a mining technique used to extract minerals such as coal, diamonds, and gold from deep underground. This mining method involves the excavation of tunnels and the use of specialized equipment such as drills, loaders, and shuttle cars to extract the minerals from the ore deposit.
